From a recent PC Mag review: The LifeCam Cinema works with AIM, Windows Live, Yahoo Messenger, and Skype. It requires a relatively new Windows computer: any XP, Vista, or 7 PC with an Intel dual-core processor running at 1.6 GHz or higher, plus 1GB of RAM, 1.5GB of free drive space, and a free USB 2.0 port; Microsoft recommends a 3 GHz dual-core chip and 2GB of RAM for optimum performance. While these are commonplace specs these days, users of older machines may want to go with the Logitech Webcam C600, which has much less stringent requirements and slightly better video quality. The LifeCam Cinema doesn't work with Macs, and specifically requires Internet Explorer 6, 7, or 8 for some Internet-chat features.

It borrows the microsoft lifecam studio styling from the p Cinema HD, replacing some plastic with metal and growing an extended shroud that pledges to keep unwanted light from creeping in through microsott top and bottom. I was given a Microsoft LifeCam HD-6000 today and I put it in to my Mac. It has more to do with the software rather than the hardware.
